Supervisors

These network meetings are intended to support administrators through peer interaction and discussion.  At each meeting a Raising the Bar section will be discussed, however this is not the only topic of discussion.  All administators are welcome to attend meetings to problem solve, generate ideas and provide peer to peer support.

 

Thursday Afternoon Meetings

Last meeting:  Thursday, November 3rd, Raising the Bar Office

Meeting Topic:  Nutrition Policy standards.  the group looked at a couple sample policies and talked about what parts of each, would make up a good policy.  There was also a lengthy discussion regarding children's food restrictions and parents food preferences.  The group talked about the challenges of having a "no outside food" policy and the similar challenges to asking parents to bring the appropriate food in, and the implecations of that.

Friday Morning Meetings

 

Last Meeting:  Friday December 9th, Raising the Bar Office

Meeting Topic:  the participants discussed the first chapter of The Visionary Director.  The group talked about ways to engage staff in helping to develop or revisit organizational values and mission.  The group talked about the strategies in the book and will reflect on how to begin working through this segment over the next few months. 

 

Next Meeting:  Friday, February 3rd, 9:00 - 10:30, Raising the Bar office

Agenda: Participants will read chapter 2 of the book "The Visionary Director" and be prepared to discuss.
